While in office, Conservatives approved four new pipelines (Keystone, Alberta Clippper, Anchor Loop and Line 9B) allowing 1.25 million more barrels per day to get to market. Conservatives also approved the Northern Gateway Pipeline.
After taking office, the Trudeau Liberals effectively cancelled Northern Gateway by placing a moratorium on the transportation of crude oil by BC tankers. They also voted against a Conservative motion to endorse the Energy East Pipeline.
No new pipelines have been proposed under the Liberals because of the uncertainty that the Liberals have created through its economic policies and new pipeline regulations.
On October 24th, let's send the Trudeau Liberals a message that southern Alberta is in favour of pipelines by electing Glen Motz and signing his petition.
We, the undersigned, citizens of Medicine Hat - Cardston - Warner, call upon the Trudeau Liberals to vocally defend the oil and gas industry and the use of pipelines, and to make the building of oil, gas and diluted bitumen pipelines across Canada, to tidewater, and into the United States, a national priority.
